A little about me
I want to capture those timeless moments for you.
I've been taking photos for as long as I can remember, and I still get a genuine thrill from sharing these moments with the people in them. Originally from the UK, I moved to New Zealand in 2000 with my wife and our son, and photography has been a constant ever since — I'm a qualified judge with PSNZ and hold photographic qualifications from both New Zealand and the USA. Whether it's a wedding or a portrait session, that same passion and enthusiasm goes into getting you the best possible images. Moments In Light is based on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast, just north of Auckland, and travels throughout the region to capture weddings wherever they're held. Many of Auckland's most romantic venues — from the vineyards of Kumeu to the country estates of West Auckland — are only a 30 to 40 minute drive away, so distance is never a barrier to bringing the same calm, considered approach to your day.
Nobody wants a stranger at their wedding, right?
That's exactly why every wedding package includes a complimentary pre-wedding shoot. It gives us a proper chance to get to know each other, and gives you a bit of practice relaxing in front of the camera — I'll talk you through some simple posing along the way, so it feels natural by the time the big day arrives. My aim is for it to feel less like having a photographer following you around, and more like having a friend there with a camera, quietly capturing the day rather than directing it. I'm looking forward to catching all those small moments of genuine affection and love — after all, that's what really matters.
