Chanel & Latham – Island Vibes at Mansion House, Kawau Island

Some weddings feel like a little adventure from the very beginning — and Chanel and Latham’s was exactly that.

The day started with a ferry ride out to Kawau Island, setting the tone for something a bit different. There’s something special about leaving the mainland behind and heading somewhere more remote — it instantly creates a sense of occasion, like you’re stepping into a world that’s just for the day.

Their wedding was held on the beautiful grounds of Mansion House, a venue that perfectly blends history, nature, and that relaxed island feel. Surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the water, it made for a stunning backdrop for a day that was full of energy, emotion, and plenty of personality.

The weather certainly made its presence known — a super hot, bright day with that classic New Zealand summer intensity. But Chanel and Latham took it all in their stride, soaking up every moment and making the most of the incredible setting.

Chanel looked absolutely stunning, with a natural elegance that carried through the entire day. There’s a confidence about her — no surprise given all the mentions of her marketing business during the speeches — and it really showed. Latham, on the other hand, brought the energy. Together, they created such a fun dynamic — equal parts style and celebration.

As the ceremony gave way to the reception, the atmosphere shifted into full celebration mode. And Latham made sure of that.

Their entrance set the tone for the night — high energy, big smiles, and two champagne bottles popped on the floor in a moment that had everyone cheering. It was bold, spontaneous, and completely unforgettable. From that point on, it was clear this was going to be a proper party.

The speeches brought things back to something a little more emotional. Chanel’s dad had everyone feeling it — one of those heartfelt moments that reminds you what the day is really about. There was so much pride, so much love, and just a few tears along the way. It’s always those genuine, unscripted emotions that stick with you.

As the evening rolled on, the celebrations didn’t slow down. Laughter, music, and that kind of energy that only really happens when everyone is fully present and enjoying themselves.

And then, just as quickly as it all began, it was time to head back.

The late-night ferry ride back to the mainland was the perfect wind-down — a quiet contrast to the buzz of the day. Tired, but in that good way. The kind of tired that comes from being part of something special.

Chanel and Latham’s wedding was the perfect mix of destination feel, high energy celebration, and genuine emotion. A day that felt like an escape, and one that no one there will forget anytime soon.
