Shannon & Darren's Elegant Wedding at The Hotel Britomart

This was a day that oozed class and elegance, right down to the smallest detail — Shannon could easily have been a wedding planner in another life. From the place settings to the table plan, everything was considered, and it showed in every corner of the day.

The Hotel Britomart made for an intimate, romantic venue, all warmth and understated luxury indoors. Step outside, and the Britomart precinct itself became the backdrop — a stretch of Auckland with just the right urban edge for a chic city wedding shoot.

Back inside for the reception, there were speeches that struck exactly the right note, and love and friendship in generous supply. I stayed long enough to catch the first of the dancing, but there comes a point in every wedding where the room stops noticing the camera and simply wants to celebrate — so, as planned, I slipped away and left them to it.

It was a long day, and a demanding one, but entirely worth it. I couldn't be happier with the results, presented here in both colour and black and white.
