Leah and Warwick
Two of the nicest people I have ever met. I feel incredibly lucky to work with so many beautiful people—both inside and out—and Leah and Warwick are right up there. Leah is genuinely one of the most caring people I’ve ever encountered. Being welcomed so openly and feeling part of the family on a day like this, is one of the greatest privileges of being a wedding photographer in Auckland.
I met Leah and Warwick at their venue on the day, Bridgewater Estate, which is honestly one of the best wedding venues I’ve photographed in Auckland. It’s a stunning and incredibly versatile location. They chose the woodland ceremony setting, but the estate also offers a beautiful small chapel and an excellent indoor wet-weather option—every detail thoughtfully covered.
Leah’s father escorted her up the aisle in full naval uniform, and the strong black-and-white theme added a sense of timeless elegance and class throughout the day. Every wedding is special in its own way, but this one was an absolute corker. The guests were full of warmth and fun, which made the later portraits especially enjoyable. Capturing people as they relax, laugh, and simply be themselves is one of the true blessings of working as a wedding photographer in Auckland.
One of the best parts of my job is spending so much time with the couple on their wedding day—often more than anyone else there. It gives me a real sense of who they are as people, as parents, and most importantly, as a couple. Leah and Warwick have that magic ingredient between them, and I have no doubt they’re heading into a very happy life together.
